Composure - help? Empty Composure - help?

Post by Admin Thu Nov 03, 2011 12:42 am

This has been sent in - help appreciated.

Hi All,

I find my players struggle at times when recieving the ball as they panic and lack composure to play the ball on receipt.

Can anyone reccomend any particular drills that would improve this? They are Under 10s and i have done alot of passing and receiving with one particular player just swiping at the ball no matter what we try.

Any help given would be received gratefully!

king of the ring, killer whale, bullring etc

setup a circle everyone has a ball, players have to kick out the other players balls...dont make it too competitive until they re old enough to deal with it so tell them to come back in as soon as they get kicked out.

killer whale same setup but 1 defender runs about trying to kick out everyones ball.

bullring same setup but player that gets kicked out becomes defender until 1 person left.

barcelona kids play these games to gain confidence on the ball...fun too!
